European Workshop on Ecological Psychology

EWEP is for anyone interested in perception-action in the broadest sense. The focus of the presentations will be on the understanding of behavior as it emerges from interactions between agent and environment. The workshop will address: information that guides action and perception, affordances, dynamical systems approach to motor coordination and control, social coordination, learning and development, robotics, and ecological neuroscience. EWEP will include contributions focusing on theoretical advancement, practical oriented research, as well as on the development of new methods and measurement tools.

EWEP will be organised by the Center for Human Movement Sciences at the University Medical Center Groningen, University of Groningen. Perception-action research makes up a prominent part of the activities of the Center. Staff members involved in perception-action research include Raoul Bongers, Simone Caljouw, Ludger van Dijk, Claudine Lamoth, Harjo de Poel, Joanne Smith, Rob Withagen and Frank Zaal.
